Stamp N Doodle Food Theme Challenge

The image is called Made with Love and has been coloured using my Spectrum Noir Pens from crafter`s Companion.

The Background paper is so scrumy it comes from a MCS Cd Collections, It has been sprayed with Crafter`s companion Spray and sparkle glitter spray..

I used my Nellie Multi frame die for the Mats.

the sentiment comes from TLC

Then I used my Martha Stewart Border punch and some small bows to finish it all off.

30 Anniversary Card

This is for my Hubby for our 30 wedding Anniversary on the 6th of March

I went for soft pearly colours for this card

It has been cut out using my new Silhouette Cameo machine that came to live out our house last week. I have named her Ellis-May

Still learning the software so that I can create my own files soon.

So this beautiful card above came from a file By Rae Carr available from HERE

The background layers were cut from a soft peach card, and the front layer was cut out of white pearlescent paper, this was then run through an embossing folder, I then added a few pearls to the centre of each flower.

You can see in the photo below of how it looks when stood up

This was my first proper project on the Cameo and I just love it, It cuts like a dream.

Stamp of the Month DT card

I have used my Xcuts Scallop Squares die for the mats.

This lovely image was coloured again using my Spectrum noir Pens.

The flowers are budsthat have been in my crafting stash since I first started crafting so about time I used them.

The sentiment is another from TLC

The little pearl bow has also been in my stash forever, so making a goods effort to use up some of my stash and have a good look at what I have hiding in my cupboards

I have taken the backing paper and lace into the centre of my card and just put a punched scallop to write a nice message on

I have coloured the image with Spectrum Noir pens , I do love these so much.

Used an Xcuts scallop die to cut out both mats.

My flowers are from Wild orchids and all the leaves were done with my favourite leaf punch

The sentiment is from TLC and I have used smaller Xcut dies for the scallop circle and used distress inks around the edge, I was not happy with just a fine edge so i got my blending brush and distressed it a b it more

The doily is from my stash I think I got a pack from ebay really cheap

I have taken the same Mat and Backing papers into the centre of the card and added another doily .

I used my XCuts Dies to cut the background mats, I also used one of their punches for the scallop edge

The Sentiment is from TLC (see my blog side bar), I used two punches to create the mats.

The papers are from papermainia.

I also took the papers into the centre and cut a simple white mat with the same dies to finish

70 birthday wall hanging

I was asked In December By one of Mums closest friends Kath, to make a special wall Hanging for another of their friends, it was to be for her 70th Birthday On the 30th December.

I managed to get it done with all that was going on with my mum being so ill, This is the first chance I have gotten to blog it

These two photos are of the box as it looks closed up . as you can see I have used one of the glitter girls Boards for all the embossing detail

A few more close ups of the lid, the flowers are a mix of some of my own handmade flowers using Penny Duncan`s cut files, and the white ones are from Wild Orchids crafts

The butterfly was done using a Martha Stewart punch, as were the punched leaves.

These have been all well glittered along with the flower petals.

Below you can see the Wall hanging sitting in the open box, Just used some crepe paper for the bottom of the box

Here you can see the hanging out of the box, Again I have used the same Glitter Girls board

to emboss the Lilac and silver card.

I have cut out a 70 on my cricut and covered in silver glitter, More punched and glittered Butterflies , and a few more roses For the centre

In these two close ups you can just about see the dome enclosing the centre embellies.

I have gone around the edges with gems

In the photo below you can see both the box and wall hanging together

Well I am proud to say that Kath really loved it.

The lady who`s 70th it was made for told me at mums Funeral , That she is keeping it on display permanently.

That she loved it and the colours match her Bed room

My Mum

Elsie May Hancock

03/10/1929 -07/1/2012

My Mother Elsie passed away Yesterday Morning after a long illness

She was 82 and had a very fulfilling life.

She belonged to lots of Clubs for the young at heart,( you had to be in your 60s to be come a member) And enjoyed to travel and was always popping off with her widowed friends for midweek or weekend breaks .

She has been unable to do this for the past 3 years as her health deteriorated .

Here is a scrapbook layout I did last year of Mum and Dads Wedding day.

The was photo for this layout was taken at Forde Abbey two years ago on her last holiday with us.

While we were still able to get her in and out of our car and transfer mum into her wheelchair.

We rented a cottage for a week just outside Yeovil

I have had many Emails and Pm from friends on the Crafters companion Forum .

Thank You all for your Kind words.

At the moment I am fine.

I think after watching mums deterioration over the last few years, especially the last few months,This last week being the hardest It had come as a bit of a relief.

For those who have been through this loss , It is very hard to watch.

I am sure you will understand.

I am sure mum has gone to a much better place and is with those family members that have gone on before her( my dad, her parents and sisters and my own dear brother Mac)

I take great comfort in this and know we will be together one day again.

I think it will be over the coming months , when things happen and the thought come into your head, I must tell mum this , then you realise she is not here to tell any more.,

Life goes on I have two wonderful grandsons and another grandchild due in May.

So Mum goes on in the family that she has left behind,

That is still growing.

As new great grandchildren come along and even over the coming years Great Great grandchildren.

So thank your for all the support and kind messages that you have sent.

It is a great comfort to me and my family

Also Mum is not doing so well these days, so I am spending a lot of my spare time at the home visiting her.

This is my DT card for this weeks challenge over at stamp n doodles challenge blog

Wow this week has sure flown by

theme this week is RED and GREEN with ONE EXTRA COLOUR of choice you can also use Neutral colours For hair and skin etc

I have used Stamp n doodles Tree Digi stamp that will be available in the STORE Soon.

I coloured the image with my Spectrum Noir Pens, added lots of green glitter to the tree, Dotted clear glitter around the image to look like snow.

I then punched out and glittered some Snow flakes to dot around the Card mats.

The Mat and image I placed at a joint slant for a change.

I used one of my Nesties to cut out the image.

Again I have used my Spectrum noir pens to colour the image.

Used some nesties for the mats . the background paper for the box is from nitwits and it has been printed onto card ready to be folded onto this box

To finish I just added some snowflakes and ribbon.

Then inside the box I Ripped and scrunched some tissue paper.

A little gift

Just love this little guy from stamp fairy

He has been coloured in using Crafter`s Companions Spectrum Noir pens.

The backing papers are from Crafters Companions Winter Swalk CDI used some white pearl drops on his hat fur and pom poms , this was sprinkled with glamour dust to give a real sparkle not showing to good in the photo .

I used a Martha Stewart punch for the wall he is sitting on, the top part of this it has been scored on my score board to give a brick effect, then rubbed lightly with chalk inks to bring out the bricks.

I then added some glitter along the brick edges to look like frost

I then punched out some snow flakes and added a Christmas sentiment

Blog Background

Sorry back to plain old boring for awhile.

I just had an email from nitwits asking me to remove my background and header.

I had used items one of their kits that I bought a few months ago to make my Background.

They have asked me to remove it as they don't allow their stuff on the web

Seems a bit sill as I was only using it for my own personal use , and do not sell blog backgrounds for any profit.

When I put up the Background I always do a post linking back to their store to give them credit for their lovely designs.

Well if the powers that be don't want me to display their work, that's fine with me.

I will be adding another background when i have time to get one finished and uploaded

hated plain one , so found an old one in on my Pc that I had a few years ago.
so this will stay until I can do another

This time I left the box without and acetate in the centre, just to show how pretty it can still look with just a little decoration

Ingredients

A4 card – Ihave printed borderless onto both sides of my card,

Iused two different patterns . But Card that co ordinates

withyour topper will do.

8x8 inch or20x20cm Card -I have printed onto this also.

Topper – Mustfit 5inch or 13cm Square card, It can be birthday or

Christmas.

Acetate – 4inches or 10cm square optional, but does look nicer

Scoring tools

DST

Scissors

step 1

take your A4card cut the length down to 5 inches or 13cm

see photo.

Step 2

using boxer orother score board score at 5inches or 13cm, turn and score other endat 5 inches, or 13cm, fold and burnish edges it will look like photo

Step 3

take the 8inchor 20cm square card and score 3/4 inch and 2inches or 2cm and 5cmaround all 4 sides. Fold and burnish all the score lines

Step 4

Look at yourscored lines and at one edge of the card cut down from second scorelines to second score lines, cut out the corners on both sides, seephoto

step 5

at opposite endcut to match the photo,its easier to see than explain

this step,

fold in you aremaking a box shape, you will have to fiddle with the tabs that youjust cut trimming of small bits to help it close .

see secondphoto , don t stick down yet.

How it will look folded ,This is the back view

Step 6

if you areusing Acetate you will need to cut a hole in the centre of the front of your box,now because this is a small card if you fold in some of the scorededges this does go through my bigshot, so I was able to use one of mydies if, not you can just cut out a small centre square, stickacetate over the hole using DST .

You can see the scallop oval I cut in the step 7 photos below

If not usingacetate just add another topper or embellishments to the front of thebox, to make it pretty .

Step 7

fold up box,stick bottom the end with the tabs down with DST , to give the boxits shape, DO NOT stick top of box.

Then put doublesided tape all around the edges like in photo.

Stick to theinside back section of your folded card, see photo.

Step 8

Decorate thefront of your box card with your topper and embellishments, to makepretty, I also decorate the inside cover with a pocket and sometags, or you can add another topper.

Fill box withscented tea light, or chocolates, even jewellery for Christmas orbirthday presents .

Some FerreroCollection have found their way into this box for a lucky someone.

Or add some Scented tea lights, or a jewellery gift would be very welcome im sure

This is such a cute size of box 5 inch square , its great for little gifts

I have used Crafter Companions popcorn Cds for my backing papers and decoupage image

Inside the box I have added 4 Yankee Candles scented tarts

I have added a ribbon to keep the box closed and a tag to write a message on in the pocket.
I am doing a tutorial on how to make this box card so please pop back this evening

This is for my daughter in law Emma`s birthday today.

She is the mother to be, that is expecting our second grandson .

Well the little man was due last week and still no sign of him arriving.

We are all off out for a Birthday Meal tonight ,I hope he does not decide to arrive in the middle of it.

Emma said she is finishing her meal no matter what.

The topper comes from crafter`s companion popcorn CD along with the backing papers , I have also used a few backing papers from Bearly mine

I bought Emma a Yankee Candles Tart burner, so filled the box up with some different scented tart

Christmas Gift Box Tutorial

Every Wednesday Over on Crafter Companion Forum at about 7.30pm we have a live craft event.

The members follow the on-screen step by step instruction to make a craft item,.

Best thing is we don't know what we are making.

Last week Karen did the tutorial and the girls made this little folded box,

Well I just had to have a go myself, It is so easy thanks to Karen`s great instructions and step by step photos.

I used Crafter`s Companion Humphrey s Christmas CD to print the box and toppers.

I just needed to add some glitter and some pretty ribbon as finishing touches

Here is a close up of the Decoupage all glittered up.

This box, its so easy to make using 2 A4 sheets of printed card stock.

Well I searched Karens blog for a tutorial on how to do it so that I could give you all a link.

With Halloween just around the corner. I was looking for some nice Halloween themed images,I just love this image from the Stamp fairy, as soon as I saw him I just had to get him, I wonder what he is brewing in the cauldron of his.

I have coloured him with Spectrum Noir and a few pro markers.

The bubbles from his pot and the stars on his hat have been glittered with glamour dust.

I just love the Digi we had to work with this week

I coloured the image using spectrum noir pens using lots of shades or purples, lilac and pinks for her dress

The wings are all glittered up with glamour dust

I wanted the hair to look really dark and Gothic, but could not resist adding streaks of glitter

Nappy cake update

Below you can see how it all looks wrapped up in the florist wrap.

Son has seen it and loves it, I am giving it to Emma tonight at the Baby shower

I have been luck enough to be chosen to be on their DT, Thank you girls

This is my first DT Card for them I am looking forward to having lots of fun over the next few weeks and getting to know the other DT members

I have coloured the image with with Spectrum Noire pens .

I have used my ink dusters around the edge of the design, At first I did it very faint but the more I looked the more I thought it needed adding to, I was going for a very shabby look around the edges , so decided to add some more Ochre and Green coming into the middle

The flowers are from wild orchid and the Sentiment is from TLC links in my side bar .

It says wishing you all of the ups and none of the downs, I though it would go great with the swing

Nappy- Diaper Cake

This is my first Nappy cake, I have made it for my Emma She is having a baby shower on Friday My second grandson is due at the end of this month

I rolled all the nappies and using elastic bands I attached them to a Kitchen roll holder this was also filled with Nappies

The Bottom layer has 3 rounds of Nappies, and the second layer two rounds.

To this I added lots of curling ribbon, before attaching this cute night time teddy to the top.

I still have to add some little baby socks and bibs to this and also wrap it all up in florist wrap.

Very pleased with how it turned out

Dress tag 2

Here I am again with my second dress tag.

As before the tag was cut out on my cricut, see post below for the SVG file .

I used two different lace for this one, a white for the underskirt and two strips of pretty peach lace for the bodice and top skirt.

The cameo on the bely is a button with the back cut of and stuck down with pinflair glue.

The flowers have beeen ion my craft box for years since i first started crafting, they are very small perfect for this dress.

I then jazzed the dress up with some pretty sparkly stones

the backing paper comes from pink petticoats

Dress Form Tag

Just loving the dress forms that are about these days.

This one is an SVG file from JennM Found it on the web, So would like to say thank you to Jenn

I cut it out on my Cricut .

I used 300gsm card that I had printed a text background onto.

I then inked the edges and the bottom of the stand with dark brown ink

Then for the bodice I added some satin ribbon, I also glued some to the Bottom of the skirt , as this shows through the lace

Then I used pin flare glue to attach the lace, as you can see I arranged it so that it was longer on the one side

To this I added a few small roses that I had lightly glittered with some stickles

Then I cut out a tag on my Cricut and added some papermania background paper from the Blue berry hill pad.

I wrapped some gold cord before sticking my dress form onto the tag with Pin flare glue again as I wanted it to be raised from the tag.

Made an organza Bow and used a bit more for the top of the tag.

To finish I added another rose to the bow

Here is a side view to see the depth.

I have another one of these cut out so watch this space

I had Two cards to make this weeks This is my Mother-in-laws Birthday card

The Fan is from Joanna Sheens Elegant fans Cd,.

The larger flowers I made myself using cut files from Penny Duncan

Gertie loves to read so I made a little Book mark to Go in the card

This next card was for My Mother

I have added Both a Special friend and a Happy Birthday Sentiment to this card.

When My mother was well we were both very close and she was my special friend.

These days she is in a Care Home after a very bad stroke just before Christmas.

She has Altzhimers and is now bed ridden and unable to communicate with us at all

I also had some of the sunflower Decoupage left over so made this cute little note book for myself

Hi everyone Been away for a week got Back Sunday.

took the Caravan Down to Sidmouth in Devon.

Had a nice week Rain at the Begin but Cleared up for the second part of the Week

We went to Lyme Regis for a walk along the Beach, took some photos of the pretty beach huts

Also went to Exeter Craft Show and Meet Up with Shoshi, Did not have much of a chance to Chat as so many Nice things to see and Lots of Demo`s to watch, Bought a few Items Was very good this time Only Bought what I really needed, Some Red double sided tape, To good a bargain to miss, 6 small pots of extra fine glitter

I would like you all Meet Sav, He came to live with us this evening and is a Chihuahua,Yorkshire Terrier cross , They are known as Chorkies and he is 11 weeks old.

he is so damn cute.

Our much loved Yorkie Max passed away at the start of the New year he was nearly 15.

The last few months We have bee ready to welcome a new member of our family.

We Bought Sav short for Savvi home this evening

He is such a bundle of energy rushing here there and everywhere, learning his new home.

It was so hard to keep him still to take these photos

This was the easy ones all worn out and sleeping

I am sure there will be lots more photos over the coming weeks as we get to know this little fellow

So love these little Mice, how cute are they.

Just had to make them into a card

So just printed out all the decoupage layers, don't be afraid you give them a bit of shape, it even helps if using foam pads to add an extra foam pad on top of the centre pads, this gives extra hight and rounds the decoupage off.
I then glittered the tops of the Hats and some of the snow flakes on the background papers, that come from Bearly Mine designs

Having a fun day today playing on the PC and then making the cards up I have designed.

Love the images on this one, what fun they seem to be having in the snow.

I do love the shape of this Easel with the strip down the side

I have had this card half way designed on the PC for ages( well last Halloween) , I found it while I was deleting some unused files.

It still needed a few finishing touches to get it right

So today I had a ME day and got it finished off, Cut out and made up

The art work from nitwits,

I Don`t know if you can remember, This was the kit that I used for my October blog background for last year.

I might put it back up for this Halloween

I do love playing with these designs

In this photo you can see all the different layer, That stand out when the card is opened.

It all folds flat for posting

I am very pleased the way it turned out and it will be going to my young niece.

It was meant for her last year, but better late then never,

Help For Krafty Karen

A craftingfriend that I have been chatting to for a few years on thecrafter companion forum is in need of some help.

This Is Karen( Krafty Karen)

She is inconstant pain over the last few years and it is getting worse, I andthe other girls on Crafters Companion Forum have heard about Karen sstruggle to get doctors to listen to and believe in her symptoms andsend her for testing.

She once saidthey made her feel as if it was all in her head and her imagination, well a year agoafter Karen collapsed she found herself I hospital and finally thetests were being done.

Well she wasgiven a diagnosis, and thought this is it ,help is on the way atlast.

A year latershe is still in constant pain .

I meet up withKaren a month ago while I was holidaying near her home, she invitedboth my husband and I to come and meet at her home for Coffee.

Meeting Karenwas like meeting a long lost friend, and her kids were wonderful andpolite( she has 5 ranging from 15 to 3)

While visiting I could see for myself how much pain Karen was in ,every movementcaused her pain, her husband and oldest daughter are helping Karenwith the younger kids and everyday life.

Karen was sayingthat any day soon she would be going to see her pain managementconsultant and that she would be having an Epidural in her neck thatwould help a lot with the pain and her mobility .

Well last weekKaren phoned the hospital to find out that her pain managementconsultant has gone onto long term sick leave and all his waitinglists have been cancelled., She is devastated by this news.

I noticed thatthis week Karen has been listing lots of her crafting items for saleon E bay.

I also know thatcrafting has been Karen s escape thought all this trouble .

I asked her whyshe was selling her stuff.

Karen feels thatthe only option left open to her is to go to see a private consultantand is trying to raise funds for her fees.

That why she isselling her much loved crafting Items

This weeks Iasked Karen for the first time about her illness, in depth, what itwas and what were the problems it caused.

Here are Karen sown words As she Emailed to me a few days ago

I haveDegeneration of the C spine... (My neck) The disks which are damagedby change so far are;-

C4/5 C5/6 C6/7. I also have narrowing tothe Exit Foramina which is causing root nerve compression - all ofthis causes a whole host of nasties for me, not least of which is thepins & needles, numbness to my limbs, loss of use and weakness tomy arm, hand, and leg. Black outs, dizzy spells, headaches, loss ofvision to my right eye and so many other problems they are too manyto mention here.

The biggest thing I live with day to day is thesheer level of constant pain. The pain I have is in my neck, myshoulders, my arm, partly in my back, and in my leg too.

Ialso get a lot of pain to the back of my skull because of theproblems with my neck. I suffer from paralyses and have good and baddays with this.

I also suffer from something calledComplicated Migraine, which causes separate issues of it's own, butthis is being managed with medication. But it does mean that I amunable to take normal analgesic or over the counter pain relief.

So I go day today without any pain relief at all.

I have been waiting forsuch a long time for an Epidural injection in my neck, to give mesome relief to my symptoms, which the hospital have just put back -and I am now on an "active waiting list" - I am stillawaiting a referral to a London Spinal Specialist - I have beenwaiting for this referral for a long time now, and again, thisappointment keeps getting knocked back.

I am currently tryingto raise the funds to visit a private consultant, so that I can getsome straight, honest, unbiased answers on exactly what my problem isand what my options are for getting it sorted out., I also want to beable to have the Epidural done if I can raise enough money for this.

I am sodesperate to be able to do things with my children again. The worstthing this summer has not been having one single day out with mykiddies. It's made me feel like I've failed them some how.

It is now twoand a half years since these symptoms started, and a year since mydiagnosis and I am still right at square one for getting any help. Iam still suffering daily with no pain relief. I am still fighting tosee the right consultant who is willing to help me and give me anhonest answer with regards to what procedure is needed.

Theonly consultant who was honest enough to tell me my neck is in reallybad shape, and that I need to go to London, and that I will need aseries of operations in my lifetime, has just taken long term sickleave. He was my pain management consultant, and this is the reasonwhy I have now been knocked back yet again, and I am now stillwaiting for my long awaited Epidural in my neck..

This is why Ihave been selling some of my crafting stuff in the hope of raisingsome funds to go and see a private consultant.

The thought ofwaiting maybe another year to be seen is unbearable

It seemsto just go round and round and round in circles until I am right backwhere I started hun..

Well I just feltso angry on Karen s behalf and felt the need to do something.

This where I waswondering if you lovely crafters out there would be willing to help.

She is verymodest lady and I did not know that she was doing this until a fewdays ago, She said its to keep her mind of her pain and designing hasbeen a bit of a life saver for her this last year.

Well a lightbulb went off in my head( it does not happen very often ROFL).

Had great fun colouring this image she is sooooo cute.

I used my Spectrum Noir pens and the image is Nanny Bubbles from Kelley Kids

The background paper has been printed onto thick Hammer card ( this goes through my new Canon printer like a dream) and it is from Bearly Mine Designs

I glittered up the bubbles with glamour dust, cut the shape using nessties and chalked the background while still in the die

This shows you a close up of the card fold, Its really easy to do and gives you a nice surface to work on the pop out front

OK its not a card today, I have been having a play with my beads

This set is made using

the following beads

Howalite

Silver leaf Agate

Black obsidian

Brown Picasso Jasper

I just went for a simple floating necklace .

This is one of my favourite styles for day time, nice and comfortably to ware not to heavy a feel to the necklace that you can get when using more semi precious beads

The watch I have been meaning to make for ages, I bought his face the same time as I did the pink watch that I blogged a few months ago

Again I have used the same bead as listed above.

All threaded onto stretch elastic.

I find because I have small wrists the stretch elastic gives a better fit.

I dont like to feel the watch moving about, and thats what happens if I use a clasp

much easier to take on and off too

Paper Bag Mini Album

Well This little Paper bag Album has been on the go for almost a year.

I finished the Album then took awhile to find the right photos to go into it and make the mats for them all.

Its been sitting finished on my craft table for the last 3 months waiting for me to take all the photos and blog about it.

Well I had to move my craft room yesterday and bring everything from our spare bedroom down to the front room ( I will blog about the move tomorrow, with photos)

So I had the Album in my hand and thought Wendy Do it now before I forget again

So here it is

Front cover Handsome guy with the hat is our grandson Keaton.

Flower I made by cutting the petal shapes onto Brown card joining 4 layers together with a gold brad

Then spraying with gold shimmer spray and sprinkling with glamour dust.

The frame was cut on the cricut using a Penny Duncan file

The paper I used for the Album came from DCWV Blossoms & butterflies stack.

I have made two pockets on each side to pop some mats with photos of Keaton on both sides

Again I have made some more pockets to slip in photo mats staring Keaton trying to stand on his head and helping Bampy sweep in the garden

Another pocket added to the page with slip in photos and tags, the other page has another if Penny`s frames with my two sleeping beauties , Keaton and his daddy worn out after playing on the skate board that you can just see in the first photo

More tags for Journalling and a little fold out button envelope

More photos Keats with his lion puppet frighting someone with a loud roar, the other after his bath

Keats in the bath with bubbles on his hair and riding his train out the back last summer, since then he has moved up onto a bigger balance bike

Mor pockets with him sleeping again, and him in his first summer cap like his daddy, he did not take it off all day

( very like his daddy whose hat is permanently stuck on his head even in the house)

Back view and the bottom photo shows the double sided mats that slip inside each page opening

For this card I have used a Kelly Kid`s image, Bought a few of these the other day, they are so easy to colour and all very cute

Sentiment is from Create with TLC

I used pro markers to colour her in and used a glitter pen over her jacket to give a bit of extra sparkle

The Butterfly is a peel off stuck onto Acetate

Over at Paper Creator`s Crafts We have just started our 4th challenge

The theme of this challenge is

FLOWERS

Here is the first set of sample cards.

These were taken from paper creators kit Floral Butterfly

This is how the kit look when you just print out the design and make it up.

A very striking easel card

But you know how I like to play about with the kits.

I came up with this rocker card, I used the above kit and also the
Scalloped edge rocker template

added lots of glitter to the flowers

Here you see my second set of samples.

These were made using the Blossom Scalloped edge pocket kit

Really pretty to work with

This will be how the finished card will look and you have the choice of sentiments

Again I have had a play with the images in the kit, with a little resizing on the Pc.

I have changed it into a pop out stepper card.

Two More Altered Frames

This is the first of two frames I have altered for my Daughter and Niece .

This picture was taken at my sons 21st Birthday party.

Its of my Mother-in-law with my Daughter Aleysha (dark hair) and my niece Emily( longer hair)

The layout was done in Craft Artist from a selection of kits that I am addicted to buying.

I love how the vines look as if they are wrapped around the picture frame.

A closer look at the flowers in these photos.

These are all blues and pinks.

They were made from an SVG cut file from Penny Duncan (See links in my side bar for Penny`s blog)

The leaves are all punched,.

flowers have been glimmer misted and glittered

This is the second frame.

Both frames were 10x8 inches in size.

Didn't make one for Mother- in- law as she does not like things on display, and this would be way to fussy for her.

I did print a small 6x4 and popped it into a small silver frame for her.

to nice a photo of her with her granddaughters not to have on display

Just changed the colours of the ribbon and flowers.

These are all purple and cream tones

Vintage Cars

I was asked for a simple mans card with vintage cars

this Card has been made using Crafter`s Companions Mens Collection Cd

I cut , scored and folded my base card, before adding the printed backing paper.

These backing papers were matted onto gold mirri card before being stuck onto their positions on the base card

I them cut out the toppers mounted them onto more gold mirri before arranging them onto the card front.

The sentiment is from Stamping Up

Male Camper Van

Again I have used another one of the camper vans from Beth This is the male version.

The girly Van is in the post below this one

Coloured using pro markers, The Papers are from a 6x4 paper pad from DCWV.

Even though this is for a male, I went for the bright surfing look and funky flowers

The Sentiment is from Paulette at create with TLC Just right for this card.

Camper Van

Just loved this little Camper Van when I saw it, this is the female version and it comes in a male version as well.

Nice clear images a dream to colour in

You can get them from Beth HERE

They were Coloured using Promarkers.

I then wanted to give both them a real glossy look, so I used Crafter Companions Spray and shine each was given two coats.

The second coat on the surf boards was added a bit more roughly with thicker patches.

This was to give the effect that surf boards have when the wax has been applied to them.

Cant see it to good in the photo but looks and feel great close up.

We are on our 3rd Challenge over at

Paper Creator`s Crafts

This Challenge has a Wedding theme

Above you can see two cards that I made from just using one kit

LOVE BIRDS CARD KIT

I have also added A sentiment and a small bow to finish the card off

For the card you see below I have just taken the topper part, added some of my own card and backing papers that matched the topper and made a sliding pop up card

LOVEABLE - 5X7 QUICK CARD

Its so easy to make just print out fold and add the decoupage.

As you know me by now I like to show you how you can take the basic kits just that little bit further .

So I have made the basic card kit up but added the finished card to this side easel fold. base

The wording was all done on my pc printed out and added to the card.

Then I just used a few of my flowers in the corner and added a few punched leaves around the design

Over on flashback Friday they want us to show a non traditional shaped card

This was one I did for my nieces 18th Birthday.The shape is embossed and cut out using the glitter girls cosmic board

The 18 was cut on my cricut and glittered the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

The rose flowers were cut on the cricut using a penny Duncan Roses cut file.

Glimmer misted and sprinkled with glamour dust

I also made a matching box to put it in.This was my first attempt at making a round box

Keaton-Jay

A few shots of my spotty grandson Keaton over the weekend.

We thought he was coming out in chicken pox but only a few spots appered over his chin and bottom, none on his arms and trunk of his body.

He had been away with use a few days before and spents a few days swimming in the pool.

So it might be that the chlorine in the water has irritated his skin a bit.

Its all cleared up now

This top photo is of the little darling posing for me, after he saw me with the camera, he was giving me a big cheesy smile

All the bottom ones are photos I snapped without him noticing I had the camera.

He was watching scooby do at the time

I do so love the snaps that I get of him unnoticed.

I wonder what he is thinking

21st Birthday Party

Paper Creator Challenge 2

Special Occasions

I have two DT card kits to show you this week

A few of the things that you could make from the

Baby boy sleeping tri shutter card kit

You just need to use your imagination, print the kit out a few more times and take the elements you need to make your own designs

This is how the card kit will look if you just print cut and follow the instruction sheet.

I have added a few extra embellishments

A few close ups of the finished car, as you can see I have added a few gems, buttons, glitter and a sentiment

This is from Create with TLC

The next items I made was this little card and box set

I just cut out the centre panels of the card ,folded into shape added some glitter and a little bow

I then measured the size and made a little box to pop the card into using a box maker.

Printed some extra sheets to make the top of the box.

punched out the sentiment then added a blue bow and a punched heart

This is such a simple card to make and it looks just stunning made up.

Love Always plateau easel card

As with the first kit, I printed and made up the kit as the instructions tell you

How cute is this card (everyone who has seen it has fallen in love with these teddies)

and very simple to do a must have kit.

in the photo below you can see all the layers.

But to keep to our theme Special Occasions for our 2nd Challenge

I took the same kit

this time I took it into my graphic program ( I use Serif Craft Artist)

made the teddies a little smaller.

Cut out the tartan background of the layer sheets

then added all these elements to my base double twisted easel card

you can see a tutorial I did on how to make the easel base card HERE

I them printed out a sentiment on your engagement onto another layer sheet

and punched it out with a scallop punch and used a Martha Stewart punch for the hearts

So make your kits up but always think is there something else that I could do with my kit.

that way you get double the value .

Saw this image and just had to play along.

How cute is she

The image is from Cheryl and is part of her colour me Challenge

She has been coloured in with Promarkers, The mat behind her and the sentiments I put together on the Pc using Craft artist then printed and cut out.

I then cut both her and the little dog out, layered both onto the mat with foam pads placing both of them just outside the mat, so bits of them were hanging over the edge.

This was part of the Challenge on Sassy Cheryl`s Challenge blog

The little Dog was a free digi image, It came from Here

This is the first side easel that I have made, I quite like it.

As you can see in the photo below it leaves a nice corner that can be filled with flowers or other embellishments.

Flowers are from Orchid Crafts, sprayed with glimmer mist and sprinkled with glamour dust, the blue leaves were punched.
