Dt team Card

Here is my DT team card for this weeks sketch over on Crafters Companion Challenge blog.
The Sketch was designed by Tina, who also asked the we made the card in blue colours (oops tell you more about the oops later)
I ran some card through my cuttlebug using two different embossing folders, I then printed off two backing papers from Crafters Companion floral CD, the first I cut and added to each corner of my mat, the second paper, i cut out individual flowers shaped and made into the topper, into the centre of these I added some paper candy drops and also along the top edge This is where the oops Comes into it.
I was making this card after a very Busy day at work and also my Mum has not been to good this week and has needed a lot of extra card.
I got the design up on the PC where I had saved it and off I went happily making my card, Got it finished took a photo and emailed it straight off to Rachel ready for the next challenge.
She sent me a very nice email back saying it was lovely but Tina did ask that we made a BLUE, So you can see the OOPS
Not had time to make a new card, so took the card photo into paint and had a play, as you can see by the card above,it is now blue, but felt I had to be honest with you all.
here is the original card down below, But you could do this with any paper that you have , If it is not the right colour save it and take it into your graphic package and change the colors before printing

Friday Live Crafting event

We had another evening of live crafting on Crafters Companion Forum, this is what we made
Step 1
Take your A4 base card score and fold in half, cut so it is square 15 x15 cm , keep cut off piece
Step 2
Take first pp (if you are using mats cut this to size and pp a bit smaller) cut to 14-x14 cm stick to front of card

Step 3
Take second PP cut to 12 x 7 cm, stick to base card like this

Step 4
Take cut of piece from step one cut in half at the fold, keeping the length trim the width down to 5 cm, take third PP and mat onto this trimming so you have a fine border, add your ribbon to this mat, stick to base as in photo

Step 5
Take your left over PP`s into the centre pages of your card and decorate

Step 6
Take your image and add to your chosen mount add this to front of card; Position where you feel you like it best.
if you have decided to use two images add one to centre of card. Decorate with your embellishments

This evening live crafting

This evening we did another hour of live crafting on crafters companion forum, here is the instructions for the pocketcts we made
Ingredients
Two envelopes mine are DL 8 ¾ x 4 ¼ inches, 22x 11cm
A4 pattern papers or card, you could use some large scraps
Coordinating plain paper or card
Glue stick
Hole punch
Brads
Flowers. Like prima

Step 1
Take your envelopes fold and cut in half, seal side edges, leave cut off bit open

Step 2
Take a glue stick and cover one side of the envelope, cover well and stick one of your pattern papers to it, trim to fit, do the same for the other side using the same pattern paper or different its up to you, this is a great way to use up some of those larger scraps we all don’t throw away

Step 3
Cut the top corner by eye like this see photo, Keep cut of bit flip over to other side use to measure and cut the same angle on the other side see photo

Step 4
Fold top back crease well see photo
Add lots more glue to this flap then follow photos
Photo 1 put contrasting paper above fold flap onto this and cut to shape fold back

Step 5
glue top flap and add contrasting paper to the top and trim to shape

Step 6

Take a hole punch and punch through the flap and also go through the one side of the envelope, take your flower and brad and attach this will hold your flap to the envelope

here are some that I made using the other pieces we cut at the beginning

Step 7
Punch some holes into the bottom, these you will use to join your pockets together you can use large jump rings, ribbons or threads to hold your mini pockets .
You can store tags, ATC or some photos, even add to the front of a card to put a tag in
