Scrapbooking With Silhouette Cameo

I have been having fun following Kerri Bradford`s designing with the Silhouette Cameo Courses over at
Jessica Sprague
I thought I had mastered  my cameo and design studio , but still learnt a lot from doing these courses, you just follow along with the Video Tutorials at your own pace.
This last course was all about how to use colour in your designs

Here are a few layouts that we worked on during this course.
My darling granddaughter Perrie was the subject that I used in my Photos
Love the idea of cutting out the flowery background, it looks like a lace overlay

This one is my Favourite I will be using this again,
I love the pattern papers showing through the main page, a simple idea but stunning, lots of ideas for shapes to use doing this.

This layout was our class homework to take what we have learnt, and Kerri teaches you how to make from scratch all the banners, tags etc that you have seen in these layouts and go design your own
For this layout I used a flower background that I had bought from the Silhouette online store.
I made the banners and took the colours from the oranges in the photo, also the tag on the photo and the sentiment were coloured to match colours in the main photo.
Really enjoyed doing this and will be using my Cameo to make more embellishments for future layouts .
if you are new to the Silhouette Cameo do check out these courses.
They walk you through in baby steps everything you would want to know about designing in silhouette studio.
Kerri gives you a lot of freebies to play with also

Blue flight

My mother in laws Birthday is tomorrow and here is the card that i have made for her.
It was all cut on my Silhouette Cameo, using a few files from the silhouette store and Birds designs ( A link to birds blog  is in my side bar), All the white card is Core-dinations , the blue was printed onto crafter`s companion light white card and the pattern is a download from pink petticoats, I used the for the mat and also to cut out my flowers.
To finish it all off I used some pale blue seam binding, punched two butterfly from my favourite Martha Stewart Punch, just could not do without this punch a must have in your collection
A close up of the sentiment , another of birds designs for the mat, the sentiment is from TLC ( link to blog in my side bar) sorry its a bit blurry , a new camera, still trying to get the hang of it, not very forgiving if you shake a little while snapping the photo
