Necklace and watch set

OK its not a card today, I have been having a play with my beads
This set is made using
the following beads
Howalite
Silver leaf Agate
Black obsidian
Brown Picasso Jasper
I just went for a simple floating necklace .
This is one of my favourite styles for day time, nice and comfortably to ware not to heavy a feel to the necklace that you can get when using more semi precious beads

The watch I have been meaning to make for ages, I bought his face the same time as I did the pink watch that I blogged a few months ago
Again I have used the same bead as listed above.
All threaded onto stretch elastic.
I find because I have small wrists the stretch elastic gives a better fit.
I dont like to feel the watch moving about, and thats what happens if I use a clasp
much easier to take on and off too

Just a few close up photos, love all the warm brown shades in
these beads

Gem Necklace

This Necklace uses Red Aventurine chips  and Sunstone ovals and rounds

Black Multi Strand Necklace

Future Daughter in law Steph loved the blue necklace that I did yesterday , so I offered to make her one.
She wanted it in black with some red and silver beads as highlights
Look at the post below for the blue Version
The beads are some that were left over from another project that I did a few months ago, and the silver ones came from the same broken necklace that I used on the Blue version

Getting to use all my bead stash up ready for my shopping spree when Beaders Companion open their online store

Had fun playing with a stranded necklace.
The beads are some that I have had in my stash for awhile, I think some of them came from a Necklace  that I bought awhile ago That had broken.
So don't throw away those old beads make them into something new

Floating Necklace

Treated My self to a shopping spree got some black grey pinstripe trousers  and also picked up  a black Jumper to go with them.
So this morning got out my beads and made myself a floating necklace to wear.
I was planning in making it all black and gold but somewhere along the making plan changed and I ended up popping in these red and black speckle stones that I have had in my stash for awhile
I did not want it to be a heavy looking full beaded necklace so that why I went for the floating bead look.
Its so light when it on you don't notice it, I hate the feel of heavy necklaces

First jewllery projects

OK my beginners kit came, still need to get a good selection of beads, but it has all the tools, beading mat and board and an instruction book with detailed instructions that are easy to follow, so I am very pleased with it.
I also had a little play today

Here are some shades of brown beads that I have had for my card making, I bought some memory wire, followed the instructions in my beginners book and this is what I made
                                                                          Here it is on

So not to bad for a first attempt, I made a few mistakes finishing the ends, but it will be easier next time.
Them I wanted to have ago at ea rings, so used some of the beads and findings from the kit followed some instructions on you tube and here they are

Tried to photo them dangling but a bit hard in this light, so not a great picture
well let me know what you think, I will have to visit some bead shops to stock up on my stash, cant wait to try new techniques
