SBS24 Challenge

I have at last found the time to get back on with my SBS24 group Challenges.
This weeks Challenge was to make a spring Card, I had traced out a few Parchment cards the other week, So yesterday being full up with a cold I took the time to sit down in the warm, In front of the TV with a few chick films and do my Parchment crafting. A great way to forget all your troubles.
This was one of the cards that I made and I thought it would go great for our Spring theme, Tumbling flowers and butterflies, Oh come back spring and summer, Missing all the flowers and warm Sun, Mind you here in the UK we usually get a lot more Rain during the summer months , It has been a lot dryer throughout the winter

SBS24 BLOG CHALLENGE #1

A few of my favorite things...
A card that really shows off YOUR Favorite color...YOUR favorite stamps...YOUR favorite embellishments...YOUR favorite technique...YOUR favorite everything and anything.
That was the brief we had to make this card.
What to do and what to use, There are so many things that I just love to use in my crafting, i don't think there is a card big enough to show them all.
This is my finished card, If you look below I will give you all the details to this card
First I picked some pearlescent card, and the colour of this was an easy one lilac, I love all the different shades of purples.
I then got out my keepsake boards, I have a few of these and went for the romance board for this card, I love how easy it is to get great deep embossing, also how easy it is to mix patterns from the various boards, I embossed two wavy edges, also the centre oval I then finished off with peel offs.
Next papers for these I went for my crafters companion CD, so many to choose from, but this design is from one of my first ever CC CD the florals collection, I love it and seem to come back to time and time again.
I then used a Fiskas boarder Punch to do the side of the paper strip before adding to my card, I also embossed an oval for the centre.
One of my favourite stamp set is this butterfly, I inked it up and ironed some nice bright fantasy fibers onto the stamps, trimmed and stuck both layers together with silicone glue, before placing in the oval.
I also love these prima flowers so joined two together with a flower brad, and added to the bottom corner.
The sentiment came from pink petticoats, I love all of their papers and stamp images, so I had to find someway of adding them to my card.
I made a little topper using the sentiment and some left over paper.
So there you are I have managed to use quite a few of my favourite things, I hope you like the end result.
SBS24, I am so looking forward to next weeks challenge, And will be over soon to see what you all have done with this challenge.

Cuddly BuddlyATC Challenge

Buddly Challenge 1st ATC challenge
In line with Kim's new doodle, we have set a mini challenge to use Wee Weezi the Friendly Welsh Dragon in an ATC.

oh well being a Welsh lass myself, how could I Resist this challenge, also how could I resist playing with this cute fellow .

I saved the image to my PC, and sized it to fit on an ATC in my graphic package, I then printed 3 copies onto some Anna Griffin paper that I had, I then decoupage Wee Weezi to make him stand out from the ATC.
I placed him onto some left over paper from Kay miller.
A ribbon along the one edge, some peel offs corners and borders to finish

Tilda sunday challenge

We have a very blingy Tilda here today.

On Tilda`S Sunday challenge , this week we had to use beads somewhere on our card .

I have chosen to add the beads to Tildas Dress, also to the center of the flowers.
The papers I have used are from Pinkpetticoats , also the flowers came from their big bloomer collection.
I ran some lilac paper through my cuttlebug ( I love this machine) I then glittered some of the paisley embossing and matted it onto some silver mirri card. I also added some pastel threads around the mat
I then arranged the flowers around the mat, and placed my stamped Tilda in position, she just had to have a flower of her own .
I finished with a sentiment from K and company bits box

Black & white tilda & co challenge

It's time for a bit of black and white theme, ideally no other colours to be used on you work.
(but if you are struggling with this then your magnolia image ( or 1 of if using more than 1 )may have 1 more colour of your choice.
Once again work must include a magnolia stamp, and could be anything as long as it is arty crafts.
I used some Two of the black and white designs from pink petticoats ( lola boudour).
I trimed the flower one and layered it over the dotty paper.
We were able to use one colour, so i used a reddy brown for tidas Hair, i also swept it lighty across the basket.
I then overlapped her onto some mat black card, and finished with a birthday banner

Crafters companion May challenge

This challenge was set by Rachel, she wanted a nice bright card with some gems added.
We could also make a matching atc if we liked.I have not done an ATcC but might get one done later today.
This is my first card, I used papers from pink petticoats, and a lola image, I cut out a circle frame and put it through my cuttlebug, I then arranged lola inside.
I must admit to not liking the finished card.
This was my second go at the challenge, I took the first card apart and added the pieces to some pearlescent red card, a few gems were added to eacg corner and a happy birthday tag.
I am very happy with this one, I think the other was way to busy for my taste, but I am sure some of you will of liked the first better

sketch no 9

Here Is this weeks sketch,
I have used some William Morris papers, Stamped and coloured my tilda using marvey pens.
I then matted her onto some green mirri card, I had a large bag of paper flowers, so they just had to go as an extra on this card

Tilda & Co Challenge

This weeks brief was

Decoupage Tilda & Co
Now for this week..... I would love to see you decoupage with your magnolia stamps.
This could be as simple as having a Tilda or Edwin, that is holding something, you then stamp that image out twice, cut out the item he/she is holding and then layer it up with foam pads or silicone glue, to give a 3d effect
Or you could go totally wild and build up lot’s of layers.
Please remember your work could be a card, Layout(scrapbook page) Atc, Altered Item, anything you like! alsong as your work has Magnolia Stamp on there somewhere

Here is my first attempt at one of their challenges

I stamped tilda onto the same paper that I used for the backing, I also stamped 2 images onto some plain card, these I coloured using marvy pens, I trimmed out the dress from the first image , decoupaged it over one of the coloured images, I then cut the basket, head and hair from the second, then I finished it all off with some matching ribbon

This Photo shows the layers
I enjoyed this challenge, I love my tilda stamp and hope to join in again, I have put a link to tilda & Co on my challenge section

DCM Friday Challenge

End of Year Dare

This was this weeks Challenge on the DMC Site.

Hi All. Today we have decided to revisit your most favourite dares of 2007. The four top dares, decided by the number of comments you made on them are (in no particular order): 'buttons', 'ribbons', ...'and cut' and 'frames'. We would like you to use this week as many of those dares as you like to make your card in any theme and any style.

I have used both Ribbon and buttons with some hand cutting to make the frame for the topper.
The image I found on google, I then used my 3D cardbuilder2 to make the backing paper, Everything was matted and layered onto Pink and gold card before sticking onto a cream base card
