Baby Girl Bookatrix

Ok I know a lot of sewing has been on my blog lately, but I still have my love of papercrafting.
this was a very nice project to get my paper crafting stuff out and play.
My nephew Adam`s wife Charlene gave birth to their first child on Wednesday morning.
So I just had to make them a special card and chose the bookatrix board.
The above photo is how it looks in its box
This shows the card out of its box, just love the pretty lace on the edges
A close up of the shoes, it was cut on my Silhouette cameo using a Tina Finch cutting file, that I modified slightly
A shot of the flowers on top of the box, these came from wild orchid
This is Isabella Ivy Hewings, having a cuddle from my daughter Aleysha .

The photo below is her proud daddy Adam, He was very brave and delivered this little bundle on the bathroom floor, her mummy was only in labour for two hours, not in much pain then her waters went and she was on her way, daddy had to deliver her himself before the Ambulance arrived

Baby and mummy are both doing well

Christening Bookatrix

My close friends Grandson Joshua is being Christened in a weeks time.
So I made this bookatrix Keepsake card to give to the proud parents on the day.
Just need to do some shopping for a little gift for the sweet little man

I cut out the shape of the book and added some acetate over the top so the book inside showed through.
Just added a few peel off's and ribbon to decorate

Here is the view of the card out of its box, and also below you can see the verse that I have added.
Image is a free decoupage download that has been on my PC for ages not sure where it came from

Just a little close up of the babes nestling amongst the feathers

Thanks for coming to visit.
I read all your comment, so thank you to all who take the time to leave them

18th Birthday bookatrix and New Challenge Blog

I made a bookatrix card with a matching box for my sons girlfriends Emma`s 18th Birthday on Thursday.
top photo as it looks on the box, the acetate front panel has been printed with lilac swirls, not showing up to well in the picture
here is how it looks sitting in the box, I added a dark purple piece of card to the back of the box
Here is how it looks standing up, I decoupaged the fairy, did the verse on the pc, the flowers are not my own this time these came from wild orchid glittered them up with some stickles, I used a punch to do the silver leaves, added  some gems onto the seam binding ribbon
the embossing board used was the glitter girls bookatrix, still my favourite one

Donna from Bearly Mine is starting up a fortnightly challenge blog you can find it HERE so pop over and join in the fun

DCM Challenge

Daring Cardmakers asked us to make a card but
there MUST be an element of handcutting somewhere.

Lots of hand cutting on this card,
I was busy most of yesterday getting all the bits cut out ready for this card.
I just had to glue it all together this afternoon. It was still a bit wet while getting photographed.

Its one I have made before and was asked to make again for a dear friend to give to her mum for her birthday on Saturday.

It has all my favourite things Decoupage Flowers, Feathers , silver mirri and lots of Purple and lilac card stock.
It was the ideal card for this challenge, I had to rush and get a photo before she took it
