DCM Challenge

Todays Challenge was to make a card with the theme of TEA.
I have Dry embosses and chalked a Tea pot and cup onto card, Matted this to the front of the blue cardstock, I then made a lemon bow and added above the design, To finish I made small holder with distressed edges that I tinted pink, To hold the tea bag.
I used a fruit tea for a change and added the words Get a little fruity on the holder.

Ruby wedding & DCM challenge

This card I have made for my brothers Ruby Wedding later this month.
It also works for the DCM Friday Challenge, This week we had to make a card with Women as the main theme.
I have used Red pearlescent card, The image came from Joanna Sheens Victorian Romance CD ( I think this CD has become a favourite of mine over the last week) I then added a Photo of Brother and sister-in-law when they got married, also one that is a bit more recent. Some nice rose backing paper also from JS cd, and a nice bright red feather tucked behind a love tag. I made a floral bouquet for the front of the picture.this was then finished with a red ribbon to tie everything closed.
I still have the box to finish Its drying as I type.

DCM Challenge

The brief for this weeks card is

Hide & Seek
I'd like you to make a card which has a hidden component of some sort. The hidden part could be a tag, a concealed photo, message or something along those lines, maybe a pull-out or pop-up.Anything goes as long as there's something extra for the recipient to find on your card that's not immediately visible when they open the envelope.

Its a bit late due to work but I got it done in the end

This is the inside if the cards, I have used two images and made pop ups out of them

DCM Challenge

This weeks brief from Daring Cardmaker

I want you to create not just one but TWO cards ! But wait........there's more ! I want both cards to contain the same embellishments and papers, ribbons etc- but arranged in a different way for a different occasion....the only thing being different is the wording....

Card 1
Decoupage image and paper were from my Cupcake crafting Petals CD.
I cut a card front in half added an Acetate front, Then I added the decoupage to some silver mirri card, And covered half of the jacket front, edged with peeloffs in silver, Finished with a Happy Birthday topper

Card 2
Using the same Decoupage Image, Papers and Peeloffs, I folded the card in half, added the backing paper after punching a lace border, Mounted the decoupage onto the mirri card, This time I Added it as a centre panel

DCM Friday Challenge

End of Year Dare

This was this weeks Challenge on the DMC Site.

Hi All. Today we have decided to revisit your most favourite dares of 2007. The four top dares, decided by the number of comments you made on them are (in no particular order): 'buttons', 'ribbons', ...'and cut' and 'frames'. We would like you to use this week as many of those dares as you like to make your card in any theme and any style.

I have used both Ribbon and buttons with some hand cutting to make the frame for the topper.
The image I found on google, I then used my 3D cardbuilder2 to make the backing paper, Everything was matted and layered onto Pink and gold card before sticking onto a cream base card

Daring Cardmakers Friday Challenge

This weeks Challenge was to use some ribbon on your card, I Enjoyed this one so much I have made Two , I have lots of ribbon and love to use it on most anything
The Card above is a parchment card, I like to use ribbon to attach the parchment paper to my cards, I find glue or double sided tape can some times show through, ribbon gives a nicer effect than using brads to attach the design The second card I have used a brass stencil, I have dry embossed then coloured using chalks.
A corner punch and lemon gingham ribbon to finish( my mum liked this one and has just pinched it for her friends birthday later this week)

Daring Cardmaker Midweek Challenge

This is my attempt at Daring Cardmakers midweek challenge.
The designs are from Daisy Company, I have shrunk them down using my graphic`s package, Then I decoupage them on to the card, I have also used some Glitter glue around the edges

The Brief was this
It's ages since we gave you a sketch to play with so that's what we've got for you this timeYou can use the sketch any way you like, just as long as we can still see it in there somewhere - so stretch it or shrink it or do whatever else you can to make use of it.

Daring Cardmaker Challenge

This is my first attempt at a Daring Cardmaker Challenge.
It was to make a post card and to send it through the post, As it has to be posted i have not 3D any of the images, I have kept them flat in the hope that they will not get knocked off in the post.

I have printed out all the elements, and cut them out to stick down onto the post card.
All the images came from digital scrapbook place, It is one of my favourite scrapbooking sources.
I have put a link on the right.

I did enjoy this challenge and look forward to doing some more
