Gemstone Tree

I saw one of these in a shop and being a true crafter thought.
I must have ago at making one He He.

I have used Black Onyx chips that I had in my bead box.
The wire is 24 Gauge I then attached a chip to the middle then twisted into the tree shape
Then I hot glued the bottom of the tree to the Tea light holders, then filled with layers of gravel using more hot glue and pressing each layer of stones well into the glue, this then holds the tree upright
A few close up of the base of the tree with the gravel chips, as I said they are all hot glued down so no spillage and the tree is easy to transport
Straight after making this tree I made a Jade one again using Jade Gem chips,
This one is waiting for a base, I am looking for just the  right stone to glue it onto with Roots curling around the stone.
When it is finished I will post a few photos.
Thanks for stopping by.
I would love to hear what you think

Pottery door plaque

As part of my work as a support worker, I take a client along to pottery class.
I  help and support him in following directions that his class teacher gives him, While we are helpong our charges the support worker get to play along as well.
This is my first pottery item that I have made.
Had a small mistake, I did have a smaller oval plaque just above the flower with the number on.
It got damaged in-between classes and got knocked off and broken, so while painting I had to paint on the numbers, So not really happy with them, going to get some brass stick on ones to go over them

Here are a few close up photos, I am really happy with this for a first attempt ,I cant believe I made this from a lump of Clay,  but I might redo it again later in the year and make another as I get more practice working with the clay and get more ideas of what to put onto it

White Paws

This card was commissioned for a lady I work with sister.
The only thing she wanted on the card was a cat and it had to have White Paws because her sisters cat has white paws.
I found this wonderful image on one of my Joanna Sheen CD`s it was just perfect
As you can see I turned it into an Easel card added a pretty border using one of Martha Stewart punches.
Then tucked a white feather into the back

The sentiment was stamped onto a mat that I cut out on Ellis-May, I just added a little bling with stick on gems
