Last year I got quite an addiction for knitting bears, soni thought I would show a few of my favourite ones.
They are from knitting patterns by Gypsycream they are fab easy patterns to follow and are available
This one below was the first one that I knitted and it from the Huggable Bear pattern.
This one went to my youngest grandson
This one was made for my oldest grandson and he wanted him to have a jumper as you can see in the photos below.
This pattern was gypsycream need a hug bear
Looking cool in his jumper
This cute fellow sits on my bed
My daughter has had a white bear since she was two years old she is 28 now, she asked me to make a little friend, so our white bear was born
Then a little girl bear for granddaughter Perrie.
Perrie s favourite colour is purple, so this little lady has a purple outfit
And this last bear is from gypsycream panda pattern done in pinks and white this pattern comes in two sizes and this was the largest size and made in extra long eyelash yarn so she is quite big compared to the others.
This was a gift to my niece for her 21st birthday.
I have the wool to make a blue version of this bear for myself just not gotten round to it yet.
Awww how cute!!
ReplyDeleteYour bears are gorgeous, Wendy! The eyelash yarn is ideal as it looks like fur, and not a bit like knitting! Is it easy to work with? I've never knitted with it. Each bear has a different expression and I am sure they will all be loved, as every bear should be.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your lovely comment. You are right - crochet grows very quickly, and it's fun to do too. I find it a lot easier to make a lacy pattern with crochet than with knitting. You're right, the past couple of years have been far from easy and we are now looking forward to enjoying my hubby's retirement at last - as long as nothing else goes wrong! We've got some medication for Phoebe now so hopefully she won't have any more fits. She's always been the healthiest of the 2 kitties so it came as a shock. At least she seems her normal self in between so I don't think she's suffering, apart from when she has one.
Lovely to be in touch again! I'm hoping my creative mojo will get going again soon - I think it's on the way - I can feel some ideas bubbling up!
