SBS24 BLOG CHALLENGE #1
A few of my favorite things...
A card that really shows off YOUR Favorite color...YOUR favorite stamps...YOUR favorite embellishments...YOUR favorite technique...YOUR favorite everything and anything.
That was the brief we had to make this card.
What to do and what to use, There are so many things that I just love to use in my crafting, i don't think there is a card big enough to show them all.
This is my finished card, If you look below I will give you all the details to this card
First I picked some pearlescent card, and the colour of this was an easy one lilac, I love all the different shades of purples.
I then got out my keepsake boards, I have a few of these and went for the romance board for this card, I love how easy it is to get great deep embossing, also how easy it is to mix patterns from the various boards, I embossed two wavy edges, also the centre oval I then finished off with peel offs.
Next papers for these I went for my crafters companion CD, so many to choose from, but this design is from one of my first ever CC CD the florals collection, I love it and seem to come back to time and time again.
I then used a Fiskas boarder Punch to do the side of the paper strip before adding to my card, I also embossed an oval for the centre.
One of my favourite stamp set is this butterfly, I inked it up and ironed some nice bright fantasy fibers onto the stamps, trimmed and stuck both layers together with silicone glue, before placing in the oval.
I also love these prima flowers so joined two together with a flower brad, and added to the bottom corner.
The sentiment came from pink petticoats, I love all of their papers and stamp images, so I had to find someway of adding them to my card.
I made a little topper using the sentiment and some left over paper.
So there you are I have managed to use quite a few of my favourite things, I hope you like the end result.
SBS24, I am so looking forward to next weeks challenge, And will be over soon to see what you all have done with this challenge.

Sketch Challenge 29
OK girls here is sketch 29, I know last weeks was a hard one and some of you on the CC forum struggled, so a nice easy one this week I used a lilac card stock for my base, The backing papers come from Pink petticoats, The image is a Bella stamp lightly coloured with water pencils, Punched her out using an oval scalloped punch, before matting onto the backing paper.
I then printed out The Thinking of you sentiment, before matting and layering using the leftover card stock and backing papers

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers
I have just joined one of the Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers groups.
the idea is a sisterhood group, where we can be a support and a friend to fellow blogging and stamping sisters. If you're tired of hearing the fake (yet well-intentioned), "Yeah. Uh huh. That's nice," when you show your friends or DH your stamped creations, this is the place for you. These groups are for giving feedback and sharing friendship.
Here is a bit of information about myself for my blogging sisters
I have always crafted in some way or another( knitting ,cross stitching, Decoupage) for the last three years I have been paper crating, I enjoy stamping , decoupage, scrap booking, parchment craft everything to do with paper crafting.
I live in Wales and have been married for 26 years we have three grown children, and a little yorkshire terrier.
I enjoy chatting and taking part in swaps with the members of crafters companion forum, every week I do them a sketch challenge, that I post on my blogg. If any of my blogging sister would like to join in please do.
You can find all about the sister hood here
