I made a bookatrix card with a matching box for my sons girlfriends Emma`s 18th Birthday on Thursday.
top photo as it looks on the box, the acetate front panel has been printed with lilac swirls, not showing up to well in the picture
here is how it looks sitting in the box, I added a dark purple piece of card to the back of the box
Here is how it looks standing up, I decoupaged the fairy, did the verse on the pc, the flowers are not my own this time these came from wild orchid glittered them up with some stickles, I used a punch to do the silver leaves, added some gems onto the seam binding ribbon
the embossing board used was the glitter girls bookatrix, still my favourite one
Donna from Bearly Mine is starting up a fortnightly challenge blog you can find it HERE so pop over and join in the fun

ReplyDeleteOh Wendy, this is totally, totally gorgeous... Emma is going to adore it, I know she is! I saw the Glitter Girls doing a demo of the bookatrix on Create and Craft and thought how lovely it was - I'm keen to try doing something similar with Penny's book shaplie. It's such an attractive design to have a book with lovely text on it. Just soooo special!
